Well, I finished the MEOW Tote for my Mewtopia donation. Isn't it cute?
I have photographed the MEOW Tote, and have documented its progress on the Needlepoint Study Hall blog. It's time to say good bye, and turn it over to Mewtopia for their Wine and Whiskers Silent Auction on Saturday, June 12, 2010. (I really got attached to it.) Here's hoping it will draw "big money" for their fund raising event.
Even if you don't live in Memphis, TN... consider bidding on my Needlepoint Tote. Give them your highest bid, and see if you get lucky. Here's their info. Remember, Mewtopia Cat Rescue is a no-kill cat sanctuary. The 9th annual Wine and Whiskers Silent Auction is from 4-6 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2010. "Staffed entirely by volunteers, Mewtopia found homes for over 150 cats in 2009."
OK, well that's all for now. Next on my "to do list" is assembling the Thread Kits and printing the Stitch Guides for my TNNA class in Columbus. Remember the Needle Deeva Heart #150G? I will report on my progress next time.
Thanks again for all of your kind words and encouragement. It has been fun sharing my MEOW Tote with all of you. Thanks, Robin
MEOW! Robin, this looks wonderful. I am sure that Mewtopia will have you to thank for a BIG donation to acquire this Robin King Original. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Missy. It was fun to make, and I did learn a lot along the way. Looking forward to Columbus and seeing all of the new designs in your booth!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing this great project. I hope it raises a ton of cash for a good cause.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane. And congratulations to you for finishing your Tote for the Birthday Girl. Love it all. Hmmm.... what's next for the adventures of Jane & Robin? It will be fun to find out. I'll have My Stash contact Your Stash. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! I loved how you used the memory thread on your mew purse -- it looks great! I just got your comment and wanted to let you know that Alice won't be at this month's TNNA...I think it's first showing will be at CHA and then the winter TNNA? Originally, their rep had told me this show but she changed her mind mid stream so....it went off on its travels and I have no idea if and when I'll ever see it again...maybe you'll spot it before me!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan. Well... I will hold back my enthusiasm about seeing Alice until the Winter TNNA. It will be well worth the wait! Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute, and a great use of the DMC M.T. - and, as a great cat lover, I applaud the cause. BTW, I have tested the Flow-Aid, and it isn't a surfactant (break down of surface tension of water) - which is why it really didn't do anything about spreading the acrylic paint on canvas when I tried it. I find a drop or two of liquid dishwashing detergent (or Shaklee Basic-H) to do the job much better. I've done this for years on other projects involving thinned acrylic.

ReplyDeleteI love the finished tote. Way to go and hope it brings in lots of money for the ktties. Thanks for sharing your adventure and always a pleasure to travel along. Have a blast at TNNA and look forward to hearing about the trip.

Thanks, Sue. Glad you have enjoyed my journey for the Mews. Peggy & I will take notes & photos about the TNNA teaching/shopping experience.
ReplyDeleteWe also will plan to Twitter, and post What's Coming on Amy's website. Thanks, Robin
OMG! I don't think you could have chosen colors, threads or titches any better. This could only be cuter if a real kitty were to be inside!
ReplyDeleteRobin, this is adorable!!! Great job! and thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteYour stash will contact mine? Oh, The HORROR....
ReplyDeleteI can see I'm going to have to subscribe to comments to keep up with Robin.
