Thanks

Thank you all for your kind concern. My husband is suffering from a bad case of shingles. Just when we think it is getting better, it fires back up. I have been spending more time with him. I am so thankful it is not life-threatening, but it is really painful.

I have also worked a couple of extra days at the shop. Amy's first "Cook-Up" class of 2010 was this past weekend. It is so much fun to see old friends and make new ones. And the best part is watching their canvas work come along over the three days. It is such a unique class.

I hope to stitch again on Wednesday.

Happy Stitching!

  1. So glad to hear it isn't anything TOO serious... very nasty though. I hope he recovers quickly.

I need to ask you about this 'Press and Seal' plastic wrap. If it is what I think it is... I'm not sure it's even available in Canada. I know I bought some a few years back in the states... and ended up throwing it out. Does Amy have any substitute ideas for us... I really can't quite figure out what she is using it for on the pockets? Can we not just tack it down and stitch.. ???

    Confused...

  2. I've had singles and I know what you are going through. It does get better and I haven't had any residual pain in 3 years. Did you know that YOU can get a shot to prevent you from getting it? Please do this so you don't have to go through the pain you're husband is dealing with right now.

  3. Hi Peggy

Don't worry about not posting. Life gets in the way for most of us. Take care of hubby and we will be catching up and enjoying the stitching.

I got behind and Stirha is tapping her foot waiting for me to get back to her. I want to start Frank and can hardly wait to get to him. So easy to get behind and hard to get caught up. The Study Hall is such a treat and so helpful. Thanks for all your time

  4. Thanks Jan. I plan on getting the shot to prevent shingles as soon as I can. I had heard about it all my life, but didn't know anything about it. It is awful. I am going to try to stitch some tonight. Thanks again to everyone. Stitch, stitch, stitch....
