Mow

Hi Everybody... Robin here.

Our elder cat, Mow, was my inspiration for stitching this canvas. He would curl up at the edge of the sofa and sleep for hours. I stitched this piece with Amy during her canvas enhancement classes. I used Black Fishing Line for his Whiskers. I like the Ribbon Flowers as well as the Raised Leaf stitch for the Leaves. The Twisted Cord Fringe was a nice delicate touch to the throw on the back of the chair.

Last night Mow died. We are so thankful for the many years of companionship he gave us.

Thank you for letting us share this moment. Hugs, Robin and Pat

  1. Awww, Robin, so sorry that Mow crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I know from my heart how difficult it is to lose a beloved pet. They are so wonderful to share their lives with us, and we are so lucky to have them. Cherish your memories of your precious baby. Hugs,

  4. Hi Palma. Thank you for your kind words. Our pets are our "children" and we do the world for them. They lower our blood pressure and make us laugh. Big hugs to you.

  6. Hi Jane. Thanks. Mow had a good life with us. He started out on the streets in Bartlett (a suburb near Memphis) and befriended Pat's sister's family. She had more than she could handle, and brought Mow over to comfort Pat's Mom. We have had Mow since 2001. His actual age is unknown, but our vet suspected he could have been 18 years old. Thanks for letting me share Mow's story. Hugs to you and Watson.

  8. Robin, I am so so sorry to hear about Mow. We lost our beloved Aussie dog in January and we are still a mess. I bet our Marley met your Mow as he crossed the bridge. Marley always thought she was a cat, so I am sure she was on the lookout for a new cat friend. Hugs to you. Kelly

  9. So sorry to hear about your loss; we've lost 7 babies in all and it is heart-rending each time but the memories are priceless. Even now when we see a big full moon we call it a "Studebaker Moon". He was a big black long-haired sweetie who went nuts and howled at the full moon each month. I know you are comfoted to have these reminders of your sweet boy. I'll be thinking of you and sending good vibes your way.
