Look at the new ORANGES from Rainbow Gallery!  Research was done about what oranges were needed... and hit a home run! Petite Treasure Ribbon, Petite Treasure Braid, Treasure Braid size 12, Fyre Werks Soft Sheen and Petite Frosty Rays. Oh, be still my heart!

Look at the new Petite Frosty Rays! Orange Pop, Awesome Gold, Aqua Splash, Orchid Ice, and Lavender Ice are my new BFF.

Look at the new COLORS of SILK LAME´ BRAID (for 13 and 18 count) and Petite SILK LAME´ BRAID. Love the new dreamy and creamy names: Pink Lady, Seafoam, Mellow Yellow, Lime Cream, Blue Bell, and Blue Fog. Want something with a bold pop of color? Check out Pansy, Periwinkle, Honey Gold and Coral. In the 18 count, there are the new colors: Persimmon, Cotton Candy, Lilac Chiffon, Hydrangea, Chateau Rose, Gray Stone, and Pavement. How fun.

Lana (the cat) loves the new colors, too. She visited the photo shoot and volunteered to be in the picture. All we had to do was click the shutter. Purrfect!   >^••^<

2 times 20 Thread Kits for TNNA/Long Beach 2013

Next on my To-Do List for TNNA/Long Beach: get my Meet The Teacher items together. I am participating in this event: Friday, February 1, from 5:00PM - 6:30PM.

The Deeva has been very busy getting new designs ready for the upcoming TNNA/Long Beach show in February 2013. That's just a few weeks away!

Fab Firs Photo Shoot

The Fab Firs came to visit for their "official" photo shoot.

For new blog readers, the Fab Firs are a series/club/collection of Fir Trees by NeedleDeeva and stitched by Vicky De Angelis. Each canvas comes with a stitch guide. There are 9 designs in the series, on 18 mesh, and are 4.5" x 4.5" triangles. (They are the same size of the Creeps, if that gives you some perspective.)

The Fab Firs have their own Facebook page. They also have their own page on the NeedleDeeva website. Your Local Needlepoint Store can order them for you; either individually or collectively.  Four of the Fab Firs come with special Swarovski Crystals for that puff-fect touch.

NeedleDeeva's knowledge of Fir Trees is enlightening. Did you know she is from Colorado? Land of the Trees, for sure.

To review for any new blog readers... the Creepy Characters were a Halloween club/series I stitched/wrote stitch guides for NeedleDeeva. They were offered through many(!) Needlepoint shops, and joyfully, many(!) folks stitched them.

Decorating Ideas for Halloween

Hi Everybody... Robin here.

As Halloween time approaches, the stores are now filled with wonderful trinkets and decorations to augment and display our needlepoint.

Consider the Halloween trees. Great for hanging all of your wonderful ornaments. Check with your Florist Shops (those who decorate all-out for the seasons) as well as online (Palma alerted me to this one from Pier 1 Imports) and your local craft stores, discount and Hallmark stores. I now have 7 Halloween Trees and am always looking for more.

I made my first Halloween Tree. Took a great-looking branch when doing tree trimming, and put it into a Halloween painted bucket which had been filled with sand and gravel. My ornaments looked right at home.

The Feather wreaths are available, too. I googled black feather wreath and came up with many options from Party City, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Target, Etsy.com, etc. Here's 2 photos of the Creepy Characters on my black feather wreath.

Speaking of Feather Wreaths, be sure to read Michele's blog, Needlepoint Tips and Techniques. She weighed the options of DIY versus Purchase Ready Made for her new Feather Wreath. Smart lady.

Need special trinkets? Look at your local craft store or scrapbooking store. Here is what I found at a recent trip to Michael's. Yes, now is the time to add to your stash. Don't forget the Fabric shops. The Halloween Fabrics are great for table skirts or mantle scarves.

I am honing my enabling skills... learned from the best... Jane/Chilly Hollow. Go see what you can find. 'Tis the howling season. (Thanks, Michele for the great word!) And, if you come across something fabulous, be sure to let me know.
