Stitch guides debuted at The Nimble Needle-Atlanta

Hi Everybody... Robin here...

I've been in "stitch guide writing mode" ... getting ready for the next teaching destination: Creative Stitches & Gifts in Dallas, TX. Since I have 3 more guides to go...

I made the "executive decision" to take a break, and write about my wonderful time at The Nimble Needle-Atlanta a few weeks ago.

Let's see....

The first day was a "Help is on its way" class... a cold reading, if you will, with lots of ideas bubbling up for stitch & thread suggestions. I believe I gave them a nice "jump start" for what to do on their canvases.

Here are the lovely ladies from Day #1. Actually, Vicki and Liz (our new best friends!... they really are the Cat's Meow!) were missing from the photo. They were upstairs visiting all of the Ribbon & Trim goodies from the Nicholas Kniel store. #mustvisit

Day #2 and Day #3 were Canvas Enhancement classes. The canvas were previously selected by each student, I wrote the stitch guides, and the threads were pulled by The Nimble Needle-Atlanta.

Yes, we are a well-oiled machine!

For class day, I reviewed techniques & thoughts with each person.  Stitching demos were given, too.

Here is Day #2...

Happy Mother's Day

Hi Everybody... Robin here...

Happy Mother's Day to all.

A few weeks ago I was able to visit my Mom in Lexington, KY.  It was a lovely (albeit short) visit with Mom, my two sisters, two brother-in-laws, and 3 cats.

It's not polite to mention a lady's age so let's just say next week she will be four score and three. She still has a lot of get-up-and-go.

Mom's artistic passion is oil painting. She continues to take lessons twice a week at a wonderful artist's studio.

Here are some of the pieces she has done over the years.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom. We are very proud of you. I'm glad you're my Mom.

Hugs, Robin
